Rose: Double Feature

Do you ever get that voice in the back of your head telling you that you have to draw a rose? Well, I don't, but I still wanted to draw a rose, so here it is. I think that the inverted colors bring a whole new dimension to the flower. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think of it.

Current Projects

Hey everyone who cares, I'm working on a dragon project that will most likely become my new id. If anyone has any suggestions then please tell me! And check out my other pieces and comment if you want!

The thing about my dragon pic is that when drawn with a normal pencil that isn't meant to fill large spaces, the shading becomes smudged, rough and blotchy when scanned into my computer. So, I think I'm gonna look into getting actual drawing pencils (like the 4b stuff) and I'm hoping that that will help my shading become smoother and look better when scanned. What I'm really getting at is that my dragon pic won't be finished for quite a while, but I'll keep anyone who cares posted! :D

And for ladyfoxill, I would be happy to start our collab dragon any time! But how exactly are we gonna do this..? Just let me now what kind of position you want your dragon to be in and I'll fix mine to work well with that. ;)

Hey man how goes it, sorry I have not been on in a while. Looking forward to seeing your finished dragon friend. By the way I have three new book drawings up and guess what, two of them have dragons in it. Tell me what ya think if you get the chance.

God bless,

Hey there man!
Don't worry about being on often,I have only been checking messages every few days or so. On my dragon pic,(in my opinion) is one of my better ones, but progress is slow. Since my scanner pics up the smudges and stuff that you don't normally see, I have switched to taking a picture with a digital camera, however, I have to get my dad to show me the transfer process. I will check out your dragons as well! :D

Hey buddy, how is the dragon coming along. I have 4 new drawings up, if you have time look at them and tell me what you think. Have a good one, god bless.
:icondryfang:
hi there! The dragon is coming together so-so, it may not be an aquatic dragon though. I am kinda a perfectionist so the things I post have to be perfect, but I'll get working.

Sure, I'd love to check out you new stuff! God bless your day too!

no problem, your work is very good. I might be posting an aquatic dragon in a week if you wanna check it out. By the way, do you use a digital drawing pad? How do those work?

Thank you. Yes, I use a Wacom pad, recently upgraded from an Intuos 3 to an Intuos 4. I couldn't work without one now, though the experience of watching the screen, instead of what your hand is doing takes some getting used to. They do have the Cintiq series, in which you draw on the screen, but those are quite pricey :P
